Pontiac, Michigan -- Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson continues to rest comfortably today following his second surgery for orthopedic injuries at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac. The second surgery was part of the original treatment plan formulated by doctors Friday following the two vehicle accident in Auburn Hills.
Deputy County Executive Phil Bertolini, meanwhile, filled in for Patterson at what would have been Patterson's first public appearance since last week. Bertolini spoke to the Oxford Rotary at noon today about the progress the county is making with Patterson's job creation initiatives such as Emerging Sectors, Medical Main Street, and the goal of full employment.
"For Oakland County to prosper, in Brooks' words, 'It's all about jobs. 'Brooks' administration is doing everything it can to build an environment where jobs are created," Bertolini said.
