Caravan Departs to Deliver Supplies to Joplin, Missouri

What:
Please join Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Instar Principal Frank Torre and others at a news conference as they send off the caravan of trucks and cars which will deliver donated goods to help the victims of the Joplin, Missouri tornado. They also will thank those who donated to or aided the effort. The caravan will be led by 51st District Court Judge Jodi Debbrecht and Main Street Oakland County Program Coordinator Bob Donohue. They will arrive in Joplin, Missouri the next day.
 
When:

News conference at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011.
Caravan departs at 2:00 p.m.

 

Where: Executive Office Building, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Due to the inclement weather today, the press conference at 1:30 p.m. is being moved inside to the lobby of the Executive Office Building. Photo opportunities will still be available outside where the caravan will assemble in the parking lot as they prepare to depart for Joplin, MO.
