Pontiac, Michigan -- Strong winds have torn the American flag draped on the west wing of the Oakland County Circuit Court in honor of Veterans Day, forcing the county to remove it from the building. The flag appears not to be repairable. The county has no replacement for the banner in time for Veterans Day. Oakland County encourages its residents and businesses to fly their own U.S. flags tomorrow to honor our veterans whose great sacrifices have preserved our nation’s freedom.
