Adopt a Pet at Oakland Pet Adoption Center's "Christmas in July" Event

Auburn Hills, Michigan -- Don't be a Grinch. Give a cat or dog a home by visiting The Oakland Pet Adoption Center's "Christmas in July" open house event 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011.  Anyone who adopts a pet or donates cash to the Oakland Pet Adoption Center's “Spay/Neuter Fund” will be entered to win a $25 gift card to bd’s Mongolian Grill in Auburn Hills.

To adopt a furry friend only requires a driver license, filling out a questionnaire, and paying an adoption fee. Dogs are $136.50 and cats are $57.50.

"We'll be in the holiday spirit at the Pet Adoption Center's open house with Christmas decorations," says Larry Obrecht, manager of Oakland County Animal Control Division. "We hope those who come out will be in the spirit to give a dog or cat a loving home."

The Oakland Pet Adoption Center is located at 1700 Brown Road in Auburn Hills. Its mission is "to provide a temporary safe haven for animals until we find them permanent homes." For more information, call 248-391- 4100 or visit www.oakgov.com/petadoption.
