Pontiac, Michigan -- Oakland County is hosting a public forum to create a Consolidated Plan for direction on housing, community development and public service needs for the next five years. The public is invited to attend Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oakland County Executive Office Conference Center, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Building 41 West, Waterford, Michigan, west of Telegraph Rd.
The Consolidated Plan establishes priorities for the use of Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships, and Emergency Shelter Grant funds granted to the County by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. A Consolidated Plan is currently being developed for program years 2011 through 2015. The planning process engages the public to help identify housing, homeless, human service and community development needs for low income residents, neighborhoods and persons with special needs.
