Pontiac, MI, May 4, 2010 – Oakland County’s Annual Spring Auction will kick off on Saturday, May 8, 2010 with a virtual bonanza of surplus equipment, stolen and recovered property and confiscated merchandise.
Items to be offered for sale at auction include: A 1997 Harley Davidson Motorcycle Soft Tail, a 425cc 6x6 ATV (frame cut to be 4x4), and a John Deere Tractor. There will also be various automobiles on the auction block such as Ford Crown Vic’s, GMC Sierras, Chevy Impalas and several Pontiac Grand Prix, among others at bargain basement prices.
In addition, auction-goers will have an opportunity to bid on a wide array of electronics from Nextel and Blackberry phones, to wireless phone accessories, a Bogen Gold Series Receiver and a Pioneer Super Thunder II Radio.
Doors open at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. The auction begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by the vehicle auction at 11:00 a.m.
Vehicles can be inspected on Friday, May 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Vehicles Operations Building, 16E, on County Center Drive East on the Oakland County government campus. The location is 1 mile south of Dixie Highway and 1.5 miles north of M-59. Watch for the signs.
All bidders must pre-register to bid. Payment for purchases must be made in cash, cashier checks or certified checks. Personal checks will be accepted for an amount not to exceed $100 on purchases.
