Pontiac, Michigan -- Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson says "It's a clean sweep from Wall Street" as Moody's Investors Services also reaffirms the county’s AAA bond rating. This comes on the heals of Patterson's announcement earlier today that the county garnered a AAA rating from Standard & Poor's.
Patterson and his Budget Task Force met with representatives from both Standard & Poor's and Moody's last week in Chicago. They had their work cut out for them. Budget Task Force members showed the rating houses the county's best practices of its three-year budget, economic development strategies and human resources reforms.
Patterson and his team could not be more delighted with the vote of confidence from Wall Street - a triumph in tough economic times.
