Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting


To be awarded this Certificate, an in-depth evaluation by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the County's reports against a rigid and comprehensive set of criteria was performed. 

An impartial panel of governmental finance officers, CPAs and educators reviewed the County's financial reports for clarity, accuracy and compliance.

Only 5% of all Michigan communities have earned this GFOA  award. Oakland County has received this award every year since 1992.
