Jim Taylor, Chief, eGovernment ServicesJim has more than twenty-five years of experience in all aspects of Information Technology pertaining to County government.  Jim currently manages website development, design, application integration and maintenance of Oakland County's external and internal web sites and eCommerce systems.

The County's web presence hosts 3.2 million visitors per year, serving 16.9 million page views of 22,000 pages of content and processing 1.1 million eCommerce transactions annually. Oakland County eGovernment projects and applications have received numerous awards and honors from local, state and international organizations such as the State of Michigan, National Association of Counties, and Center for Digital Government.

The County's online portal ranked third of more than 3,000 county government websites in the Center for Digital Government's 2010 Best of Web competition. In 2010, Oakland was again listed among the Center for Digital Government’s top five most digitally advanced counties in America for counties with populations of 500,000 or more. The county’s recreation and conservation portal DestinationOakland.com was honored with a 2010 Digital Government Achievement Award, while Oakland’s Cost Reduction/Investment Blog was recognized with an honorable mention.

Jim is a graduate of Michigan State University and resides in Oakland County with his wife and two children.
