Oakland County's Department of Information Technology (IT) has received national recognition and is a 34-time recipient of the National Association of Counties' (NACO) "Achievement Award Winner."

The systems and programs that have been recognized include:


Best of the Web
Oakland County placed first in the 2014 Best of the Web County Portal Category by the Center for Digital Government.

G2G Cloud Solutions - Over the Counter Payments, and Virtual Collaboration.

Oakland County was awarded with the 2013 Digital Government Achievement Award for its eCommerce Expansion from the Center for Digital Government.
Oakland County received 2013 Achievement Awards for CAMSMI Great Artist:Visual Art Competition, MI Trade SchoolProperty Gateway, Versal Code, Web Content and eCommerce Methodology from the National Association of Counties.
Oakland County was ranked fourth in the nation by the Center for Digital Government in their 2013 Digital Counties Survey.

Deputy County Executive/CIO, Phil Bertolini received the 2012 White House Champions of Change Award and was also a finalist in Crain’s Detroit CIO of the Year.

 

Oakland County has been named the most digitally advanced county in America by the Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties (NACo) in their 2009 Digital Counties Survey. The 2009 Digital Counties Survey is an annual study by the Center and NACo which identifies best practices and recognizes those counties with exemplary digital service to their citizens.

Best of Michigan 

Oakland County was awarded the 2009 Best Application Serving a Public Organization award for its Cost Reduction/Investment Blog, by the State of Michigan and Government Technology Magazine. In addition, the Oakland County Video Center also won an award for the 2009 Best Application Serving the Public.


Digital Government Achievement Award

Oakland County has won two international 2009 Digital Government Achievement Awards from the Center for Digital Government for our Video Center and Blogin’ Café.

Oakland County received 2009 Achievement Awards for the Video Center, Blog-in Café and the Animal Control Census System from the National Association of Counties.

Oakland County was named the number one government Web site in the 2008 Best of the Web County Portal Category by the Center for Digital Government.

Oakland County was awarded the 2008 Best Application Serving a Public Organization's Business Needs Award by the State of Michigan and Government Technology Magazine.
