Oakland County's Department of Information Technology (IT) has received national recognition and is a 34-time recipient of the National Association of Counties' (NACO) "Achievement Award Winner."
The systems and programs that have been recognized include:
| Oakland County has been named the most digitally advanced county in America by the Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties (NACo) in their 2009 Digital Counties Survery. The 2009 Digital Counties Survey is an annual study by the Center and NACo which identifies best practices and recognizes those counties with exemplary digital service to their citizens. | |
| Oakland County was awarded the 2009 Best Application Serving a Public Organization award for its Cost Reduction/Investment Blog, by the State of Michigan and Government Technology Magazine. In addition, the Oakland County Video Center also won an award for the 2009 Best Application Serving the Public. | |
