Professional Involvement:
A student of science, music and history from the University of Michigan, Mr. Golden finds himself totally immersed in the local historic community.

Brian is the director of a not-for-profit historicorporation called PastWays (www.pastways.info) as well as being president of the Farmington Historical Society. He serves Oakland County as a Commissioner with the Historic Commission and he also sits on the Farmington Hills Historical Commission. Brain holds associate memberships with the Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society, the Northville Historical Society and the Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society.

Mr. Golden has connected with local museums by being on the Governor Warner Museum Committee and the Michigan Transit Museum. He is often seen giving local historical tours to third graders in the Farmington School District teaching history in a fun, interesting and exciting way.

Brian is an accomplished author and has written five local history books. They are: Farmington Junction-A Trolley History, A Guide to Historical Markers of Farmington and Farmington Hills, The Magical History Tour of Farmington & Farmington Hills, The Hitachi Magical History Children's Tour, and Farmington: A Pictorial History Photograph Collection. 

Mr. Golden is a certified access user with the Southwestern Oakland Cable Commission and produces historically oriented, educational shows. These programs can be seen several times a week on local cable networks.

Personal:
Brian is married to author and publisher Joni Hubred and they share a life together living in downtown Farmington where they enjoy volunteering in community programs, leading a healthy lifestyle and traveling great distances to visit their children and grand-children.
