School Health Services


Oakland County Health Division advocates for a coordinated and comprehensive school health program to promote health and enhance student learning.

  • Communicable Disease - For school exclusion rules, communicable disease related questions, information regarding outbreaks, or communicable disease reporting, contact the Epidemiology office at 248-858-1286.

  • Immunization - For questions regarding immunization services and use of MCIR/SIRS program, call 248-858-1765.

  • Nurse On Call - Questions about conditions such as head lice, scabies, ringworm and other minor illnesses may be routed to our Nurse On Call service.  Call 1-800-848-5533 or 248-858-1406.  Nurse On Call is an immediate resource for general health questions and community resource information.

  • Emergency/First Aid/Medications - Resources for policy development and training.

  • Chronic Disease - Resources for children with special needs.

  • Health Promotion - Health information and resources.

  • Safety - Resources and emergency preparedness.
