Helping Babies Thrive

Helping First-Time Parents Succeed

A Program for First-Time Moms

To assist women in Pontiac to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy, happy baby, the Nurse-Family Partnership is available to help.  The Nurse Home Visitor works intensively with moms who are having their first baby to help them:

  • Get referrals for healthcare, childcare and other support services in the community
  • Learn about becoming a better parent
  • Make home a safe place for baby to live and play
  • Set goals for the family's future and explore ways to reach them

Referrals are being accepted now.

To participate in this program, a woman must:

  • Live in the City of Pontiac, and
  • Be pregnant and planning to have her first baby

You can join as early in your pregnancy as you like, but you must join before the 28th week of your pregnancy.
