Frequently Asked Questions about Shelter Safety

Environmental Health Services Shelter Programs

The many different types of shelters to which people are exposed during their lifetime have influence on the status of health.

Environmental Health Services of the Oakland County Health Division is dedicated to protecting shelter environments through regulatory inspections of child care and adult foster care facilities, recommendations for school and playground safety, and education for County residents and home owners.

We also respond to complaints and follow through with a resolution or referral to other state or local agencies having jurisdiction.
