Expectant Parent Classes

The Oakland County Health Division presents five (5) weekly sessions to help parents-to-be prepare for the birth of their baby.

In Pontiac, Expectant Parent Classes will begin on February 4, 2008 – March 10, 2008 (no class February 18th) at Oakland County Health Division, 1200 North Telegraph Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Classes will be held on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and are taught by Public Health Nurses.

In Southfield, Expectant Parent Classes will begin on February 20, 2008 – March 19, 2008, at Oakland County Health Division, 27725 Greenfield Road, Southfield, Michigan. Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and are taught by Public Health Nurses.

Topics for the series include childbirth preparation, labor and delivery, care of the newborn baby, breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, information about keeping children safe, and caring for them when they are ill.

The Health Division advises that you enroll as early in your pregnancy as possible.
