Objective: Purpose is to provide funding for incremental programming and facilities for youth baseball and not as a substitute for existing funding or fundraising activities or to provide routine or recurring operating costs or funding for construction or maintenance of buildings. Funding Organization: Bikes Belong
Title: Featured Grants
Objective: Bikes Belong will accept requests for funding of up to $10,000 for facility and advocacy projects. We do not require a specific percentage match, but we do look at leverage and funding partnerships very carefully. We will not consider grant requests in which our funding would amount to 50% or more of the project budget. All proposals must: •Address the goals of the grants program strategic plan ?Encourage ridership growth ?Support bicycle advocacy ?Promote bicycling ?Build political support ?Leverage funding •Address the project objectives of the facility or advocacy funding categories (following). •Propose a specific program or project that is measurable. Bikes Belong will not fund general operating costs. Priority is given to: •Bicycle organizations, coalitions, and associations—particularly those that have not received Bikes Belong funding in the past. •Projects that build coalitions for bicycling by collaborating the efforts of bicycle industry and advocacy. Because of our limited funds, we rarely award grants to organizations and communities that have received Bikes Belong funding within the past three years. Title: School Nutrition and Physical Activity Policies, Obesogenic Behaviors and Weight Outcomes
Objective: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), is issued by the National Institutes of Health’s National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR), and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (CDC). The FOA encourages Research Project Grant (R01) applications that propose to: (1) foster multidisciplinary research that will evaluate how policies (federal, state and school district levels) can influence school physical activity and nutrition environments, youths’ obesogenic behaviors (e.g., nutrition and physical activity behaviors), and weight outcomes; (2) understand how schools are implementing these policies and examine multi-level influences on adoption and implementation at various levels (e.g., federal, state, school district, and school); and (3) understand the synergistic or counteractive effect of school nutrition and physical activity polices on the home and community environment and body weight.

Objective: UniHealth Foundation is committed to supporting community health improvement activities of hospitals by funding health education, prevention and treatment programs. Objective: The Sara Lee Foundation places funding priority on grants to nonprofits that create collaborative and innovative initiatives focused on nutrition and nutrition education . They are of significant interest, particularly in programs that distribute food provided by the government, so that information is available on how to prepare the food in healthy and nutritious ways. Objective: The Foundation’s mission focuses on infants and young children. Title: Obesity Policy Research: Evaluation and Measures
Description: This grant will be awarded to applicants who plan to: (1) conduct evaluation research on obesity-related natural experiments (defined here as community and other population-level public policy interventions that may affect diet and physical activity behavior), and/or (2) develop and/or validate relevant community-level measures (instruments and methodologies to assess the food and physical activity environments at the community level). The overarching goal of this FOA is to inform public policy and research relevant to (1) diet and physical activity behavior, and (2) weight and health outcomes of Americans.
