Oakland County Enterprise GIS Programs & Services
In 2000, the GIS Professional Service Blanket Purchasing Program established Professional Services Contracts to help supplement GIS work being done in Oakland County's CVTs. As a benefit to CVTs participating in the GIS Professional Service Blanket Purchasing Program, the GIS Utility funded a percentage of their approved project cost.
In 2003, Oakland County GIS Utility decided to renew the GIS Professional Service Blanket Purchasing Program, but did not renew the Countys funding contribution. The 2003 GIS Services Blanket Purchasing Program qualified vendors in four GIS service areas:
Project Management
Data Management
Application Development
Training/Support
The Program continues to provide an excellent opportunity to gain access to qualified GIS consulting services. Furthermore, the list of vendors will be moderated as the Program continues. From time-to-time, the list of vendors will be reviewed and additions and/or deletions will be made. GIS/Application Services will also ensure through a GIS project wrap-up that high-quality services are provided to each CVT who participates in the program. Vendors selected to provide GIS services are coordinating GIS development efforts with GIS/Application Services. Project descriptions and any deliverable documents will be cataloged on the GIS/Application Services' website.
The following sections provide detail about how Oakland County GIS/Application Services, in conjunction with representatives from the CVTs, selected the vendor(s) to participate in the 2003 GIS Professional Service Blanket Purchasing Program.
