Floodplain Map Review Meeting


September 10, 2004

The GIS Utility is currently working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and FEMA's study contractor, Fuller, Mossbarger, Scott, and May (FMSM) to improve the currency and accuracy of Oakland County's Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs).  The draft results are ready to be presented to local officials in Oakland County.

Local officials and any staff they deem necessary are invited to attend a meeting to review and comment on the draft flood maps. The details are as follows:

Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2004

Time: 1 p.m.

Location: Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Auditorium (1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Bldg 12 E, Pontiac)

A letter containing additional details has been mailed to city, village, township, and County elected officials, County department heads, Floodplain and Emergency Managers, Building Inspectors,  Planning Directors, and other relevant officials.
