Second Quarter Data Distribution Offers Many Improvements

Oakland County cities, villages, and townships who receive Oakland County GIS data via CD every quarter will notice many changes to the regularly distributed data.  These changes are due to Oakland County's migration to ArcGIS 9.0 and the implementation of the Land Management data model.  These changes were necessary to improve GIS data integrity and cartographic output.  Oakland County recognizes that even the slightest of changes to the data can be very tedious for its GIS data users, but we believe that the benefits of the new format outweigh the costs.

CDs for the second quarter data distribution will begin shipping the week of July 1.
