ESRI Case Study on Oakland County Animal Control Census System

ESRI GIS Software has published a Case Study (, file size 770k) on the Oakland County Animal Control Census System.

Oakland County Animal Control (ACOC) automated the annual pet census with an ArcGIS Mobile solution. OCAC needed basic map navigation and a data entry system that allowed field crews to quickly move and accurately enter pet census information and results. Instead of being sent out with paper maps and log sheets, inspectors are provided a mobile device to conduct door-to-door inspections. Inspectors reduce manual data entry and provide real-time access to census results.

ESRI GIS Software publishes case studies to show how local goverments are gaining benefits using GIS technology and spatial analysis.
