If you have a grievance involving an employee or procedure of the Friend of the Court Office, you may come in or write to the Friend of the Court and request a grievance form. The completed form will be investigated and the resolution of the grievance returned to the grievant. A summary report of all grievances is filed with the Friend of the Court Bureau in Lansing.
If you are not satisfied with the disposition of your complaint by the Friend of the Court, you may file an additional grievance with the chief judge. Forms for this procedure are also available at the Friend of the Court.
Advisory Committee
Public Act 366 of 1996 calls for a Citizen/Friend of the Court Advisory Committee to be established. The Committee is to have community representatives from many disciplines.
