IV-D Enforcement Requests (Divorce)
Congress has enacted many pieces of legislation to help insure that child support will be collected. Federal funding is available to Michigan and other states for child support enforcement.
The Friend of the Court must have on file a request for enforcement service signed by the person receiving support. This allows the County of Oakland to receive the maximum reimbursement from the federal government.
Please help us help you by signing the request for services:
"I hereby request child support services under the child support enforcement program of Title IV-D of the Social Security Act. I understand that any information provided to me or on my behalf is to be used only for the purpose of establishing paternity or securing child support."
Usually the initial forms you receive from the Friend of the Court give you an opportunity to supply your signature. You may also request an application by mail, telephone or when you visit our office.
