Robert S. Larkin, Manager of Facilities Maintenance & Operations

Robert LarkinMr. Larkin was promoted to the position of Manager of Facilities Maintenance & Operations in August of 2008. He is responsible for the Administration, Building Safety, Custodial, Grounds, Heating Plant, and Maintenance Units whose goal it is to ensure that the County facilities, grounds, and utility systems are secure, in a reasonable state of repair, and that a proper working environment is maintained for Oakland County government to effectively conduct its business.

Before becoming Manager, Mr. Larkin filled several other positions in the Facilities Management Department. He was Supervisor – Facilities Planning from December 1995 to August 2008. In May of 1994, Mr. Larkin was promoted to a Maintenance Supervisor II from a Maintenance Planner position that he held since January of 1988. Originally Mr. Larkin was hired full time for Oakland County has an Engineering Aide in June of 1979.

Bachelor of Business Administration – University of Michigan – Flint.
