About Export Assistance

Often referred to as the area's international marketplace, Oakland County is the exporting center for the southeast Michigan region. More than 660 Oakland County companies export goods and/or services abroad, and account for nearly 15 percent of Michigan's total exports.

The Export Assistance Center, a joint effort of the U.S. Department of Commerce, the State of Michigan and Oakland County, provides guidance and consultation free of charge to county businesses interested in exporting.
