Kenneth Rogers, Deputy Oakland County Executive

Kenneth RogersOakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson appointed Ken Rogers as Deputy County Executive for Oakland County in June 1996. Ken oversees the operation of Public Services and is a member of the Budget Task Force. Mr. Rogers is also on loan from Oakland County as he oversees Automation Alley Technology Consortium, a 501(c)3/501(c)6 organization, in an Executive Director capacity.

Activities include:

  • Member, Board of Directors for the State of Michigan Strategic Economic Investment and Commercialization Board
  • Member, Directors for the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center
  • Member, Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center
  • Past President, Oakland County Chamber of Commerce

Oakland County Achievements: 

In January 1993, Mr. Rogers was appointed by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson to serve as Director of the Department of Community & Economic Development. In that capacity, Rogers' responsibilities included three divisions: Community Development, Development & Planning, and Equalization.

Personal: 

Mr. Rogers received his Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and an Honorary Doctor of Public Service from Central Michigan University. He was the former co-owner of Evans and Associates Incorporated, an Oakland County Real Estate and Development Company, and was one of the founders of Oakland County's Economic Development Corporation (EDC).
