Emergency Equipment Loan-Out/Rental Program


The Emergency Response and Preparedness unit's Equipment Loan-Out/Rental Program provides and maintains training equipment to increase the public's EMS knowledge and provide for training.

Equipment Loan-Out/Rental Policy (Reservations)
  • Can be made between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only.
  • Equipment can only be reserved for a maximum of seven (7) days.
Agencies/Persons are Responsible for:
  • Picking up and returning equipment between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Picking up equipment on the first day reserved (anytime after 8:30 a.m.) and returning the same equipment on the last day reserved (before 5:00 p.m.). Borrowers will be charged a late fee for any equipment returned late ($10 per item, per day).
  • Their own transportation of equipment. Some of the equipment is extremely heavy.
  • Checking equipment to verify that all parts are there. Upon return, all equipment will be checked. If something is missing, the borrower is responsible and will be charged
  • Report any item that is not working and show personnel what is wrong.
  • Properly cleaning the mannequins before returning. Mannequins should be returned as they were taken--no lungs.
  • Supplying their own disposable parts (i.e., airways, alcohol wipes, etc.) We sell most of these items, please check with us for a Supply Price List if you are interested in purchasing supplies from us.
  • Reporting the number of persons trained with the equipment and the type/level of persons being trained (i.e., 20 nurses, 30 girl scouts, etc.).
  • The replacement of any lost items at the replacement value.
  • The total repair and/or replacement of equipment and parts with extraordinary damages at the replacement value.
Rental:
  • A non-refundable daily (24-hour) rental fee will be required for any agency or individual that charges a sum of money as a prerequisite to participate in their program.

Equipment Rental Price List: (item/daily charge)

  • Skill Meter Anne: $20
  • AED Trainer: $2
  • Infant Intubation Mannequin: $5
  • Adult Intubation Mannequin: $15
  • All Other Mannequins: $1
Fees collected are used to cover the costs of routine maintenance and replacement of the training equipment.
