A local village within Oakland County has a reduced Information Technology budget to work with. Instead of cutting services, the village partners with Oakland County to use their networking services and Web content management system.
The village can now realize the same powerful Internet connectivity that the County does. They can also now publish and manage their village's Web site through the County's Web content management tool.
The Web site has the same robust features for searching, transactions and security as the County's Web site. Non-technical personnel within the village may now update the site on a daily basis using the templates provided.
The village has just encountered the shared benefits of eGovernment.
