Oakland County Board of Commissioners
The 25-member Board of Commissioners is the governing body of the county, which is divided into 25 equally populated districts. Each district holds approximately 48,000 residents.

A regional planning partnership, accountable to member local governments in Southeast Michigan.

MSU Extension – Oakland County

Resource Recovery and Recycling Authority of Southwest Oakland County (RRRASOC)
Provides safe disposal of household hazardous waste to the following municipalities: Farmington, Farmington Hills, Novi, South Lyon, Southfield, Walled Lake, Wixom and Lyon Township. 
 
Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recycling Authority (SOCRRA)
Provides safe disposal of household hazardous waste to the following municipalities: Berkley, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Clawson, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Lathrup Village, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak and Troy.
