Oakland Edge Hockey Tournament

There’s still time to register your team for the first annual Oakland Edge Hockey Tournament but you’d better hurry to get a $100 discount off the entry fee.

The county’s first 35+ over adult hockey tournament is set for April 10-13 at the Onyx-Rochester Ice Arena and the Troy Sports Center.

Registration can be done online at www.michiganseniorolympics.org or more information is available at 248-858-1892. Oakland County has partnered with the Michigan Senior Olympics and Oakland County Parks to host the event.

Teams from Michigan, Ohio and Southern Ontario are expected to participate. Divisions start at age 35 and will be divided based on skill and experience. A women’s division is also planned for the tournament. Every team is guaranteed at least three games. Winning teams will receive trophies and medals will be given to the individual winners.

Detroit Red Wings legend and Hockey Hall of Fame member Ted Lindsay is the honorary chairman of the event. Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information call 248-858-1848.
