Oakland County Michigan 2008 is Now Available
Oakland County Michigan 2008, the official county-produced publication that spotlights Oakland County as a business and quality of life destination, is now available in Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Flint’s Bishop Airport.
In its third year, the 84-page magazine has more than doubled in size since its first edition. The 2008 version features Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson on the cover with some Oakland County children promoting his highly successful “Count Your Steps” walking program.
“This is our best magazine yet,” Patterson said. “This is an important business development tool for us as we showcase Oakland County across the region and the world.”
The free magazine gives a snapshot of living and working in Oakland County and includes sections on Main Street Oakland County, the county’s appeal to international businesses and details special events in 2008, including the Oakland Edge adult hockey tournament April 10-13 and the Brooksie Way Half Marathon in October.
The magazine is funded entirely by support from Oakland County communities, businesses and organizations. It will be available in all Oakland County public libraries, in the 46 communities that participated and in selected area upscale hotels. Members of the Oakland Chamber Network, who partnered with the county in the creation of the publication, will also have copies.
