Addison-at-a-Glance

Located in the northeast corner of Oakland County, Addison Township offers residents a rustic charm without sacrificing city amenities. Horse farms, working farms and estates,  cornfields, lakefront homes and youth camps compromise the landscape of this 36-mile community. 

At the heart of the township is Addison Oaks County Park, which features over 1,100 acres, 2 lakes, camping facilities, a 3.6 mile equestrian trail and an elegant Tudor-style conference center. In addition, the Poly Ann Trail, which crosses through Addison Township, offers activities including hiking, skiing and horseback riding.

Upland Hills Farm, Ecological Awareness Center and School are prominent fixtures of this scenic community that provide a variety of educational opportunities for all ages.

The Workforce Development Division of Oakland County helps train and place unemployed workers by partnering with Michigan Works! Each center provides employers with a wide range of services including, applicant recruitment, onsite interview rooms, training funds for planned new hires, information technology (IT) training and out-placement assistance.  The centers also provide assistance to job seekers including, resources on resume writing and interviewing, job placement, testing and assessment, training funds to enhance or gain new skills, and IT training.
