The Oakland County Economic Development & Community Affairs’ Business Center is pleased to announce the addition of the Venture Forward program to its business workshops.
Targeted to meet the unique needs of an established business, Venture Forward is an in-depth program that that teaches entrepreneurs the skills for business growth. The ten-week program utilizes the FastTrac® GrowthVenture™ the business education system, which is taught by over 300 organizations throughout the country, along with the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center (MI-SBTDC) counseling to help entrepreneurs evaluate their current market position and plan for their future.

Through individual counseling, research activities, reading materials and online support from MI-SBTDC coaches, Venture Forward participants will:
Acquire the necessary skills to take their business to the next level
Identify challenges and develop strategies to improve their business
Develop a personalized business plan
Uncover alternate funding sources
Network with local business leaders - bankers, potential investors, mentors, business attorneys and CPAs
The course, which will begin on October 5, will be held on Friday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 11: 30 a.m. in the Conference Center at the Oakland County Executive Office Building, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road Building 41, Waterford. The fee is $250 per participant, which includes 10 three-hour sessions, a FastTrac textbook and other materials, guest speakers, one-to-one counseling and research assistance.
