Troy Michigan Works! provides convenient one-stop access to job training programs and career services at no charge. As one of nine electronically linked Oakland County Michigan Works! centers, it is funded by the Oakland County Workforce Development Board, L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive, and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Development. Troy Michigan Works! is a department of the Troy School District’s Division of Continuing Education.
Birmingham Fine Art Festival
On May 12-13, 2007, artists from around the world with gather in Shain Park for the 26th annual Birmingham Fine Art Festival. The two-day festival, which is hosted by the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber, will feature ceramics, hand-blown glass, painting, jewelry and wearable art.
The festival is free, open to the public, and expected to draw a crowd of almost 80,000. The Fine Art Festival will be open Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
