Established in 1947, the City of Sylvan Lake is a quiet community that takes pride in its natural beauty. Located on M-24 in Oakland County’s “lakes area,” this former resort community is home to 1,753 residents.
Nestled on the shore of Sylvan Lake, this tranquil community features charming homes on tree-lined streets. Lakeside activities and four city parks offer residents a variety of leisure activities. Sylvan Lake also features the West Bloomfield Trail Network, which provides recreation activities such as hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing. In addition, the city has a business district on Orchard Lake Road.
With all that Sylvan Lake has to offer it is easy to see why we are “The Prettiest City in the State of Michigan.”
