Oakland Edge: Hockey Tournament

Grab your sticks, sharpen those skates and get your skating buddies together. Mark your calendars now so you can be  part of Oakland County’s first 35+ over adult hockey tournament. The Oakland Edge is set for April 10-13, 2008 at the Onyx-Rochester Ice Arena and the Troy Sports Center.

Teams from Michigan, Ohio and Southern Ontario are expected to participate. Divisions start at age 35 and will be divided depending on skill and experience. A women’s division is also planned for the tournament. Every team is guaranteed at least three games. Winning teams will receive trophies and medals will be given to individual winners.

Detroit Red Wings legend and Hockey Hall of Fame member Ted Lindsay is the honorary chairman of the event, which is sponsored by Oakland County and the Michigan Senior Olympics. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information call 248-858-1848.
