Current Focus

Ms. McMahon is a Business Development Representative for the Economic Development Team at Oakland County.  In her current role within the economic development team, Cindy's primary focus is on retention, expansion and attraction of businesses.  The key component of these duties is to develop relationships with businesses and educate them on available programs and services offered by Oakland County and the State of Michigan.  Some programs and services Ms. McMahon can offer assistance with are financing, incentive coordination, workforce development assistance, municipal problem resolution, small business assistance, site location assistance, as well as other activities.  Ms. Mahon also specializes in the Robotics & Automation and Advanced Materials sectors as part of the County's Emerging Sector Program.  She is also responsible for assisting companies from the Asia/Pacific region that are seeking to locate or expand in North America.

Professional Background

Ms. McMahon has worked for Oakland County for over eight years working within the Planning & Economic Development department and within the Prosecutor's Office.  Prior to coming to Oakland County, Ms. McMahon was the Human Resource Director for a large boat manufacturing company in Michigan and in Tennessee at their Corporate Transportation Division. 

Education

Ms. McMahon has a Bachelor's in Business Administration.  She is also a member of the Michigan Economic Development Association (MEDA) and has successfully completed the Michigan Economic Developers Association/International Economic Development Council course.
