Michigan Works! Service Centers

Worker recruitment specialists are available for on-site or telephone consultation. Among the services provided at the Centers are:

• Assistance in finding qualified workers
• Access to the Michigan Talent Bank containing over 600,000 resumes
• Interview facilities for recruitment of workers
• Information on customized training, workplace accommodation and tax credits for new hires.
• Training incentives such as on-thejob training programs
• Application intake/processing
• Applicant screening to meet employer hiring requirements
• Scheduling of job interviews/assessment times
• Identification of appropriate testing instruments
• Demonstration and on-site training in accessing the Michigan Career site
• Sharing best practices for employment recruitment and retention
• Development of job descriptions
• Connections to local job fairs
• Information on wages by metropolitan statistical area
• Referral to college and school placement offices
• Referral to migrant and veteran services specialists
• Referral to Michigan Rehabilitation Services specialists
