The Detroit Skating Club is a membership club that owns and operates a two rink ice skating facility offering figure skating instruction from basic Olympic training and rental ice time for hockey teams.
The bond proceeds allowed the company to add a 6,000 sq ft fitness center with equipment to the existing 100,000 sq ft facility. They also upgraded existing equipment and made repairs to the facility.
The company is a manufacturer of prototype and other race vehicles primarily for General Motors. Services include design, engineering, machine shop and fabrication.
The company's first bond project in 2002 included the acquisition of approximately 3 ½ acres of land and the construction of a 25,000 sq. ft. facility.
Pratt & Miller came back to the Oakland County EDC in 2006 for their second bond project which included the acquisition of approximately 4 acres of land and the construction of a 38,500 square foot facility to be developed adjacent to their existing location.
