Market Research

Market Research available through the Planning & Economic Development Services (PEDS) division includes access to a wide array of data resources and information about Oakland County.

Our research professionals collect data and information, analyze trends, produce reports and publications, and help define the overall direction of economic development materials for Oakland County.

Additionally, we can provide countywide demographic research including age, ethnicity, education, marital status, etc.  Our Community Profiles book provides detailed profiles of each of our Oakland County communities. Lists can be obtained for a nominal fee per record.

Community Liaison

Our business professionals are trained and welcome an opportunity to address any business-related issues clients may encounter with their local community.

Site Selection

For a nominal fee, we can provide business owners with listings of vacant properties in Oakland County as well as customized property maps and aerial photography.

Workforce Development

Businesses looking to hire new employees have free access to a qualified pool of applicants through the Michigan Talent Bank.  Additionally, through our Workforce Development Department, employers have access to free training dollars for new hires as well as access to other training classes.
