George W. Kuhn Drain - Contract No. 7

RETENTION TREATMENT IMPROVEMENTS
CONFINED SPACE ENTRY TRAINING FACILITY

This project consists of the construction of a Confined Space Entry Training Facility, Madison Heights Concessions Building, and Soccer Fields.

Tetra Tech MPS is the design engineer for the project. Gary Nigro, P.E. is the Water Resources Commissioner's Office engineer responsible for the project.

Bids for the project were received on August 15, 2006. The construction contract was awarded to Sorensen Gross Construction Company, Inc. of Flint, Michigan for their low bid amount of $1,740,000.

Construction commenced in the fall of 2006. Completion of the project is scheduled for the spring of 2008.
