The Oakland County Drain Commissioner is required by the State of Michigan Act 288 of the Public Acts of 1967, as amended, (Land Division Act) to provide engineering design review and approval for all new subdivision plats in Oakland County to assure proper storm water drainage and compliance to the Drain Code. Because of the strong economy and booming development in Oakland County, the Subdivision Plat Approval Unit of the Drain Commissioner's Office is experiencing increased activity throughout the County.
