Commissioner McCulloch served for 10 years as an Oakland County Commissioner prior to being elected Drain Commissioner. He was Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for five years and served for eight years on the Drainage Board.
An attorney and certified public accountant, Commissioner McCulloch is the immediate past chairman of the Southeast District of the Michigan Association of County Drain Commissioners. He also has authored numerous articles on water quality that have appeared in both national and international journals and publications, and he hosts the award winning cable television show entitled H2Oakland. The popular program features both influential community leaders and average county citizens as guests for interesting and entertaining dialogue dealing with environmental issues. The show, which won the nation's highest honor for public service television by the National Association of Water Agencies, also provides valuable tips and suggestions to viewers on innovative ways to preserve and protect our most valuable natural resource clean, fresh water.
