52-2 Magistrates

The 52nd District Court, Second Division employs three part-time Magistrates:

Daniel A. O'Brien - serving since his appointment on February 9, 2001.

Thomas Raguso has served since his appointment in March of 1998.  He is a graduate of Michigan State University and Wayne State University Law School.  He has practiced law in Oakland County for 35 years and has been a resident of Clarkston for 27 years.

Elizabeth C. Chiappelli - serving since her appointment on March 5, 2005.

The Magistrates are responsible for:

• Conducting arraignments
• Small Claims hearings
• Informal hearings
• Setting bond
• Performing marriages
