The 48th District Court Judges and Magistrates may perform marriage ceremonies for the general public who live in the court's jurisdiction. Contact the court at 248-686-5147 to schedule your wedding.
You must provide the clerk with the following information when scheduling your wedding ceremony:
- Full name of bride and groom
- Desired wedding date
(before expiration date of marriage license) - Day time telephone number of either bride or groom
Ceremonies are held on Thursdays and Fridays at either 8:45 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 1:45 p.m. or 3:45 p.m.
Wedding Day - You will need to bring the following:
- Marriage License and two envelopes obtained from Oakland County Clerk's Office
- Two witnesses
- $10 marriage fee
- Driver's license or passport for the bride, groom and both witnesses
