Data warehouse teams do many things, but ultimately, providing decision makers access to the data they need and the way they need it, even if this need is unforeseen, is the primary goal of their efforts.
One of the ways we address the unforeseen needs at Oakland County is through products like WebIntelligence. This tool allows remote access to specific data "universes", against which users can create ad hoc reports.
