PACE (Prior Authorization and Central Evaluation)


Sentenced - Felony

Program Information

The PACE Unit of the Oakland County Health Division Office of Substance Abuse provides prior authorization for alcohol and drug abuse treatment at substance abuse treatment programs. Services are for Oakland County residents who are Medicaid recipients, or who are low income, or without insurance. Referrals and placement are available for the following types of service:

  • Residential — 24 hours a day for 14 days or longer
  • IOP (Intensive Outpatient) — 3 hours or more per day/multiple days a week
  • OP (Outpatient) —Scheduled by therapist per individual needs
Eligibility Any Oakland County resident without insurance or on Medicaid

***A valid ID, proof of Oakland County residency, proof of income, and/or a valid Medicaid card must be provided.
Charge Appropriateness PACE services are ancillary and therefore, do not have charge eligibility guidelines
Cost
  • No cost for the prior authorization at PACE
  • There are fees for the non-insured at the treatment level
