Ruth Johnson to Appear on Bloomfield Community TV Show - Elections, Anti-Fraud Efforts, Are Highlighted in Discussion with Jan Roncelli

Bloomfield Township Clerk Jan Roncelli with County Clerk Ruth Johnson.Oakland County, Michigan, Monday, January 28, 2008 -- Ruth Johnson, the Oakland County Clerk/Register will appear this week on "At Your Service," a local cable show hosted by Bloomfield Township Clerk Jan Roncelli.

"Clerk to Clerk: An update with Ruth Johnson and Jan Roncelli," will air on Channel 15, which serves viewers in Bloomfield Township and Bloomfield Hills, at noon on Wednesday, 8 p.m. Friday and 9 p.m. Sunday. It will also air at the same times on Channel 18, which serves the communities of Birmingham, Franklin, Bingham Farms and Beverly Hills.

The two women will discuss election reform issues, anti-property fraud efforts, protection against identity theft and new services available at the Oakland County web site, www.oakgov.com/clerkrod.

"It's a pleasure to deal with a county clerk who understands the diverse needs of the clerks," said Roncelli. She congratulated Johnson on technological improvements that have helped not only local clerks, but all county residents.  New services on the Oakland County Clerk/Register web site include Court Explorer, which improves access to court records and a free Online Campaign Finance system so residents can monitor political contributions made to local candidates.

Johnson called Roncelli a wonderful advocate for residents. "She is knowledgeable, she cares and she is a take-action kind of person who is dedicated to providing the best possible service to her residents."
