Within the CLEMIS Advisory Committee, there are eight sub-committees as follows:
Bylaws Committee
This Committee meets on an as-needed basis and consists of agency heads. The Committee is charged with making recommendations to the Advisory Committee regarding any modification to the CLEMIS Bylaws.
Consortium Committee
This Committee consists of a combination of agency heads and high- ranking officers. This is the second most active working committee and provides a means for identifying member technological needs. It assists the CLEMIS project team in coordinating vendor-related activity.
PSAP Coordinators Committee
This committee was created in 1999 to make recommendations to the CLEMIS Advisory Committee regarding 9-1-1 issues of County-wide concern, including equipment, training, network standards and the implementation of Wireless 9-1-1 technology. This committee meets at least four times per year.
Radio Oversight Committee
This committee was created in 1999 to enhance citizen and officer safety by transitioning Oakland County's public safety voice, data and paging communications from separate, incompatible systems into a cohesive, interoperable system. Membership includes local police, public safety, fire, EMS, Oakland County Sheriff, Oakland County Board of Commissioners, CLEMIS Chairperson, and several Oakland County officials. This committee meets as needed.
Security & Privacy Committee
This Committee meets on an as-needed basis usually as a result of security issues regarding prospective participants. It consists of agency heads.
Strategic Planning Committee
This Committee is responsible for developing a standard fee structure for all systems provided by CLEMIS. In the past, this Committee met at least once a year to review the prior year's accomplishments, upcoming year's planned activities, and discuss long range plans. Its membership consists of the Executive Committee of the Oakland County Police Chiefs Association, Oakland County Sheriff, Director of Department of Information Technology, Advisory Committee Chairperson, and CLEMIS Project Manager.
Systems and Programming Committee
This Committee works closely with the CLEMIS project team to identify law enforcement needs regarding reports and system functionality. Membership consists primarily of Records Supervisors and/or sworn personnel who supervise Records.
User & Terminal Committee
This Committee meets on an as-needed basis regarding requests for new membership in CLEMIS and is involved in the initial investigation of all user violations. It consists of agency heads.
