The objective of the Children's Village Volunteer Program is to match appropriate adult role models with youngsters identified as benefiting from such a relationship.

The Mentors Plus Program, in cooperation with the Oakland County Circuit Court-Family Division, places adult volunteers with Children's Village residents.

Youngsters identified as benefiting from the Mentors Plus Program are those who have limited or no parental involvement. The intent of the Mentors Plus Program is to provide an adult mentor who will assist the youngster in developing a positive self-image and to learn appropriate behavior patterns.

A comprehensive screening process and training program are key components to the success of our volunteer programs.
